Kes kemalangan ulang-alik meningkat dalam tempoh 5 tahun: Maznah / Commuting accident increased within 5 years: Maznah

KUALA LUMPUR: Kadar kemalangan ketika berulang-alik membabitkan pekerja meningkat setiap tahun sejak lima tahun lalu, kata Timbalan Menteri Sumber Manusia, Datuk Maznah Mazlan. 

Beliau berkata, tahun ini sebanyak 25,000 kes kemalangan semasa berulang-alik ke tempat kerja direkodkan di seluruh negara setakat Oktober lalu, berbanding 24,809 kes tahun sebelumnya. 

"Sebanyak 19,041 kes kemalangan direkodkan pada 2008 dan menunjukkan peningkatan untuk tahun-tahun seterusnya apabila pada 2009, sebanyak 20,810 kes dicatatkan manakala 22,036 kes pada 2010," katanya menjawab soalan Senator Muhamad Yusof Husin pada persidangan Dewan Negara di sini, hari ini. 

Maznah berkata, sepanjang tempoh itu juga sebanyak 3,422 kes membabitkan kematian dan 31,054 kes menyebabkan kecederaan hilang upaya kekal dilapor. 

Pada 2008, katanya, 728 kes kematian dicatatkan, 759 kes pada 2009, 720 kes (2010), 805 kes (2011) dan sehingga 31 Oktober tahun ini, jumlah kematian menurun kepada 410 kes. 

Bagi bilangan kes kecederaan hilang upaya kekal pula, Maznah berkata sebanyak 5,559 kes direkodkan pada 2008; 6,313 kes pada 2009; 6,934 kes (2010), 7,305 kes (2011) dan sehingga tempoh berakhir Oktober lalu, 4,943 kes dicatatkan. - BERNAMA 




KUALA LUMPUR: The accident cases involving commuting workers had increased annually since five years ago, said the Deputy Minister of Human Resources, Datuk Maznah Mazlan. 

She said, there are 25,000 accident cases involving commuting workers have been recorded this year as of October, compares to 24,809 cases in the previous year. 

"19,041 accident cases were recorded in 2008 and it shows significant increases during the following years when in 2009, there were 20,810 cases recorded and 22,036 cases in 2010," she said when answering a question by Senator Muhamad Yusof Husin during the Senate conference today. 

Maznah said, along that period, there were 3,422 fatal cases and 31,054 cases causing permanent disability injuries were reported. 

In 2008, she said, 728 fatal cases were recorded, 759 cases in 2009, 720 cases (2010), 805 cases (2011) and as of 31 October this year, the fatality has dropped to 410 cases. 

For the numbers of permanent disability injury cases, Maznah stated that there were 5,559 cases recorded in 2008; 6,313 cases in 2009; 6,934 cases (2010), 7,305 cases (2011) and as of October this year, 4,943 cases were recorded. - BERNAMA
